ENGINEER OF HOPE

I am a father, friend, son, survivalist, love-monger, missionary, pit-master, snake-wrangler, knife fighter, director, park builder, engineer of hope who lives and works in San Antonio, TX. I am the Director of Compassion Acts, and together with my wife Susie, established BloodnFire San Antonio where we work to build community within the rougher parts of the city. I've been all over the world with my work in social justice and distributed over $30 million dollars worth of aid internationally and stateside. I portrayed the whip in all three of the Indiana Jone's films, except for the latest because it was awful. I do all of my own stunts and created the Texas state flag.

Yesterday was one of the most moving experiences I have ever had in my life. In the morning we went to the Garbage dump here in Poi Pet where 15-17 families live. The go thru the garbage to get thing they can sell and well as look for food they can eat. We where able to share the Love of God with many. Over 20 people gave their lives to Jesus. There was so much joy released in the community there. In the afternoon we went to the local Brothels and got to share God’s love with some of the ladies there. The make $100 a month and service 5-6 clients a day. They do this because it is the only job they can get. Had a great time talking with them about their dreams of what they would like to do in the future. We are working with local ministries to create micro business’s to train and employ the ladies that want to come out. A little goes along way to help change the lives of these women. www.bnfsa.com

I know the word awesome is so over used, but my limited vocab leaves be short in trying to describe what I am seeing take place here in Poi Pet Cambodia. Yesterday we did a work project at the Community Aids/HIV clinic. We painted the outside of the building. I will post picture later. Our team from Canada that is with us worked hard to get the project done in one day. It was so hot. We would pray for clouds and got would send them our way. When we finished the most amazing rainbow came over where we were. It had not rained. You can see the picture posted on my wall. Just the day before our team had done a skit in a slum village about Noah. We shared that when ever they would see a rainbow, it was to remind them of God Love and Peace. Nature shows us the greatness of our God.
Today we go do a Garbage dump outreach. Families live there and make a living and survive from what other throw away. We will be taking bags of rice and sharing and praying for people. Then later this afternoon we will be going to the brothel area in Poi Pet and share God’s love there. It is so outside the box even for me, but I know it is going to be awesome. Thanks to all who support us and our families while we are here. Not all can go, some can give, but all can pray! Thanks for all your prayers. If you want to give support, you can do so by going to bnfsa.com and give via paypal. Love From Cambodia! HERE WE GO!

Also send me some new words that are like the word AWESOME and I will use them.

End of an awesome day out doing outreaches in a slum village. Did skits, gave snacks, sang songs and shared the story of Jesus love. Over 40 children asked Jesus into their hearts. The simple message of the love of God was received with great joy. Even though we don’t speak the same language, Love always has a way of communicating. . Tomorrow we go to paint a building at the HIV/TB clinic. . Much love from Poi Pet, Cambodia.

Just finished a awesome day in PoiPet. Cleaned up at the Community Health Care Clinic. All of the people there have either Aids or TB. As our teams talked to them great things happened. One wanted to invite Jesus into her heart after she had heard about Him for the first time. Another Aids patient who could not even drink water or eat was prayed for. After the prayer he was able to drink water and then wanted to eat. It was a good day to share the love of God. Tomorrow we go to a village to share God’s love to children. Gonna a be a good day. Thanks for all who pray and support our efforts here. If you would like to give you can do so by going to bnfsa.com and give via Paypal. Thanks for caring!

Well it is 5:00 am in Cambodia and I am up and getting ready for a awesome day On today schedule we are taking a work team to the HIV/TB clinic here in Poi Pet to do a clean sweep. That a fancy word for we are going to be picking up trash. We are going to make the place look beautiful. With very little medical services here in Poi Pet most of these people have little hope of survival. Partners here feed the people here 3 meals every day. Later in the week we will be painting a building. We are going to bring life to a place where death is a very real reality. Have a great team here. If you would like to support our efforts you can do so by going to bnfsa.org.

It will be called Dreamer’s Park.   If you want to help you can go to www.compassionacts.com and donate.  Also taking a team to go build it in May.  Application packets will be available soon. Also if you have mucho air miles and want to donate for tickets, we can put them to good use.
